Sevenoaks Wildlife Centre

Starfish Class had a fantastic time on their first school trip to Sevenoaks Wildlife Centre! We travelled by coach and were excited to begin our minibeast adventure.

One of the highlights of the day was pond dipping. Although we got a little wet, we didn't let the rain stop us from having lots of fun! We used magnifying glasses to look closely at the creatures we found and worked together to identify different minibeasts living in the pond.

We also enjoyed a minibeast hunt, exploring the large bug hotel and discovering which minibeasts had made it their home. The children showed great curiosity and enthusiasm as they searched and identified different creatures.

To finish our day, we shared a story all about minibeasts and created our own minibeast passports, recording some of the fascinating creatures we had learned about.

We are so proud of how well the children represented Starfish Class and how enthusiastically they embraced their first school trip!
