Outstanding in all areas!
We are delighted to have been graded outstanding in all areas, following an Ofsted inspection on 1 and 2 July 2025.
Headteacher, Catherine Sharrock, who started at the school in September, said: ‘I am absolutely delighted with this wonderful Ofsted report for Valley Invicta Primary School at Kings Hill. It is a true testament to the incredible children, Mrs Guthrie, our previous Headteacher, and the dedication of the whole team, who always place the children at the heart of everything they do. I would also like to thank our wider school community for their continued support — they play a vital role in the school’s ongoing success.’
The report praised many aspects of school life at Kings Hill, including its high expectations, behaviour and curriculum:
‘Aspiration abounds at this inspirational, vibrant school. The school has very high expectations of what pupils can achieve, including disadvantaged pupils and those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). These expectations are met. Pupils achieve highly. They benefit from an exceptional education which prepares them very well for their next stage of education.’
‘Pupils describe the school as being a place they can ‘flourish’ and they do. Pupils embody the school values of, empower, inspire and connect. Exceptionally kind and warm relationships are the norm throughout the school. Pupils are courteous and considerate. They behave impeccably.’
‘Ably supported by the trust, the school has created and implemented an ambitious curriculum. This clearly sets out the important knowledge pupils need to learn as they move through the school. Pupils acquisition of this knowledge is checked, revisited and expertly built on. Staff have been well supported by the school to design learning activities that connect learning and prepare pupils exceptionally well for moving forward through the curriculum. As a result, pupils acquire deep knowledge across a range of subjects.’
Chief Executive Officer of Valley Invicta Academies Trust, Richard Hayden, said: ‘I am so proud of everyone at the school for this brilliant result. It’s testament to the hard work and commitment of the whole school community and their continued efforts to go above and beyond.’
