Rare Breeds Centre
Starfish Class had a fantastic day out at the Rare Breeds Centre. The children were full of excitement as they met a variety of animals, from goats and pigs to chickens and rabbits. A highlight of the day was taking part in a hands on workshop where they learned all about how to care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and keeping them safe and happy.
The fun didn’t stop there – the children also enjoyed a tractor ride around the farm, which brought lots of smiles and laughter!
Back at school, the children have been enthusiastically applying what they learned. They've been naming animals and identifying the young and adult versions – for example, knowing that a baby sheep is called a lamb and a baby cow is a calf. It’s been wonderful to see their curiosity and understanding of the animal world grow.
Well done, Starfish Class, for such a brilliant day and a week of super learning!
