Penguin Class have surprised Miss Burford with an afternoon tea this afternoon to celebrate her impending nuptials over the holidays. Miss Burford will be returning as Mrs Smith in September and we can't wait to see all of her wonderful photographs.


Stingray class were treated to a pizza making workshop as part of their leavers' events this week with The children enjoyed learning how pizza dough is made & discovered that yeast is actually a fungus. They choose their own tasty toppings before taking them home

Yr6 have performed their production of 'Pride Rock' with confidence & poise & were delighted to show off their own set designs & costumes. The atmosphere in the hall was electric. All children showed a range of talents in acting, singing and dancing. Well done to all involved.


On Tuesday, we held our last football match of the year against Mereworth, Yr3&4 team felt ready for the match, especially in their new sports kit. 2 excellent early goals from Cody gave us a positive start with more goals to come! The final score, after a thrilling game, was 6-4


Last night, our choir attended a concert at Aylesford Primary School, performing two large group numbers and an individual one. All children who took part did so with passion and pride, the signing they did alongside their 'Go the distance' number was spectacular!

On Friday, Yrs3,4&5 travelled to Tonbridge Castle & took part in a wonderful music & dance festival They had been busy rehearsing their "Jai Ho" dance routine & beautiful singing of "Go the distance" to ensured they were prepared & ready to perform on the big stage!

Whales Class visited Starfish yesterday afternoon following their work based on the book 'The Dark' by Whales created leaflets to help people who are afraid of the dark.

On Monday all classes took part in a circus workshop lead by Circus Sensible, the children learnt a variety of skills from juggling to plate spinning. This tested their co-ordination and lots of fun was had by all!

The Afrikaans children treated the whole school to a wonderful 'Language of the term' assembly. They led the others in reading & saying numbers up to ten, singing a well known Afrikaans song & sharing a class fairy tale. As a treat, some tried traditional food from South Africa

A huge thank you to for also sending us a variety of books for the Library, these donations are very much appreciated and the children will enjoy the chance to read so many new and exciting books.


Today Seal Class had a visit from Derek from Chocolate Education. He taught them all about the history of chocolate and they even got to make their own chocolate pizza! Yum Yum!


This week in photography, the children created abstract images from every day objects. The effects they produced were really exciting and everyone enjoyed guessing where they could have come from. Hayden and Naomi where chosen as our best photographers this time!


Year 6 have received their Leavers' Hoodies today from and can't wait to wear them on their residential next week. They will be a great memento of their education at VIAT Kings Hill - well done Year 6 for such a fabulous year!

We are so proud of Ewan who attended the finalist's reward day at Leeds Castle during the half-term holiday with his family. He was presented with a new reading book by Ewan was a finalist from over 700 entries in the Leeds Castle 900 words story writing challenge!


Yr5 were treated to a day out at on Wednesday. The children attended Drama, Music, Dance & Art workshops led by the teachers and created a wonderful performance of "Baggy Trousers" During lunchtime, the class visited the school farm and loved meeting the animals


A huge thank you to for organising some new library books for us and also to our PTA for purchasing our new shelving units, they look great!


A massive thank you to Miss Burford for organising our first Race for Life event. All children took part in their own race during the day & parents joined in for a fun run at the end. Thank you to for the ice-cream treat, that was much needed on such a hot day!


Yesterday, Year 1 treated their parents to an assembly full of singing & dancing. They talked about the characteristics of each season & finished off with a video of their learning journey through the seasons. It really was a delight to see all of Yr1 performing so confidently
