Young Voices

On Monday, our KS2 choir travelled up to The O2 Arena in London where they performed in the largest children’s choir concert – Young Voices.

They were part of a choir of over 9,000 children and sang a large range of songs which they’ve been working on with Mrs Boyden since September. The children sang beautifully and had the chance to sing and record ‘Proud’ with former lead singer of M People - Heather Small - for a charity single. As well as this, the children watched live performances from The Beatbox Collective, Urban Strides and Anna Phoebe.

If you or your children would like to relive the night, then you can order the concert video via this link - https://www.yv23film.co.uk/

Well done to all the children involved, here are some quotes from the children about their experience…

“I enjoyed singing with lots of different people from other schools.”

“I loved using the torches when it went dark!”

“It was amazing when we learnt how to beatbox with the Beatbox Collective.”

“Anna Phoebe the violinist was spectacular.”

“We had fantastic seats!”

The children are incredibly keen to take part in this event again this year so watch this space!
