Specialist Resourced Provision Teaching Assistant - Term Time
Valley Invicta Academies Trust are seeking to appoint an additional Teaching Assistant to join our talented team linked to the Specialist Resource Provision for ASD at our primary school at Kings Hill.
Salary: 37 hours per week for 38 weeks per year, pro rata to VIAT 3 £17,593 to £18,251 FTE.

As a popular and rapidly growing provision, we are able to recruit for experienced and motivated Teaching Assistants to support the inclusion of our pupils on the Autistic Spectrum.
You will work closely with the whole school team, and under the guidance of the Lead teacher in our Specialist Resourced Provision.
You will need to be able to work on a 1:1 and small group basis both within the Specialist Resourced Provision and also in the mainstream classes, as part of individualised inclusion plans for key children.
The pupils that you will be supporting will all have an Education, Health and Care Plan for ASD needs.
The ideal candidate will be hard-working, flexible and adaptable, and will have a calm and positive approach to working with children with high levels of complex needs.
Previous experience of working with children with ASD is desirable and the ability to work independently and use your own initiative is vital.
You will need to be able to lead and discuss the impact of specialist interventions run for individuals or group of pupils.
You will have the opportunity for high quality training and CPD both within Kings Hill and alongside the other Trust primary schools.
The successful candidate will:-
- Level 1 or 2 Diploma (or equivalent) with proficient practical skills.
- Have English and Mathematics GCSE (C grade or above).
- Knowledge and experience of working with children with SEN
- Have a first aid qualification or be prepared to undergo first aid training
- Be able to support teaching staff in providing a stimulating and caring learning environment.
- Be committed to supporting and nurturing children, adopting an inclusive approach that enables them to reach their full potential.
- Motivate and inspire children to learn.
- Be able to work as part of a team and on their own initiative.
- Be able to adapt and respond to children’s individual emotional and physical needs.
