Teaching Assistant (High Needs) - Term Time - Special Needs Position
We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic and experienced person to work as a SEN Teaching Assistant to enhance provision for pupils with a range of SEND needs to enable them to access the full curriculum and wider school opportunities.
Previous experience of working with SEN children, particularly those with ASD and ADHD and Dyslexia is preferred and a willingness to engage with further training is essential.
This post requires someone with a calm, patient disposition and an ability to work in a responsive and creative way as part of a strong team. The successful applicant needs to be, flexible and work from, their own initiative, keeping to a timetable.The Applicant will need to be an excellent communicator, able to keep records and build trusting relationships with parents and external agencies such as Speech and Language therapists.
This is a temporary appointment, linked to the Higher Needs Funding, 37 hours per week on a term time only basis but part-time working will be considered. The salary starting salary will be £15,228 paid within the VIAT 2 grade, pro rata to a FTE of £18,329 - £18,809.
