SRP Teaching Assistant - Term Time - Special Needs Position

We are looking for a talented SEN Teaching Assistant with experience of working with children with ASD to come and join our inclusive and high achieving Primary school.
We are offering a fantastic opportunity to work both in our mainstream classes and our Specialist Resource Provision for children with ASD.
Essential Skills:
- Experience of working with children with ASD.
- Experience of working with children in Early Years and KS1.
- Knowledge of child protection/safeguarding.
- Positive, friendly and enthusiastic personality.
- The ability to be proactive and flexible.
- Willingness to engage professional development/interest in SEN/ASD education.
Desirable skills:
- Experience of working with children across all Primary phases.
- Professional qualifications linked to SEND.
- Experience in use of alternative communication systems such as PECS or Makaton.
- Experience of Speech and Language strategies.
32.5 hours per week, term time only, this post requires you to be able to work between 08.30 and 3.30pm from Mon-Fri. The safety and well-being of our pupils is paramount and the successful applicant will have not only have a clear DBS and high quality references but be able to demonstrate vigilance and a caring approach.
